Information management and applications execution in the cloud has become increasingly more effective and quick; therefore Microsoft bids to compete with services like Google’s Hangouts, Facebook Messenger, among others. The Instant messaging and VoIP calls Service more used in the world, has released its new service for browsers called Skype for Web.
Previously Skype made us go through the annoying process of downloading and installing the software in the device where we needed it, now they make it easier for us – the user – to interact with our contacts by using only our web browser.
The service integrates desktop notifications, so that the message, audio or call will be shown even if you’re making use of another application. To start using it you only need to install a plug-in from the Skype web site.
For now Skype for Web is available only in beta version. (Https://web.skype.com/)
